Browser storage

Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Staging notice

Analytics and advertising services are not active in the current staging configuration. This policy and the consent platform must be reviewed again before those services are enabled.

This policy explains how GameTreff uses cookies and similar browser technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage is a related browser feature that can remember information on a device. Pixels, tags, and similar tools may also read or transmit information. This policy uses “browser storage” to cover these technologies where appropriate.

The consent preference is stored on the visitor's device. The current GameTreff application does not copy that preference into a visitor-profile database.

Consent categories

  • Necessary: site delivery, security, and remembering privacy choices. These functions cannot be switched off through the optional-category controls.
  • Analytics: audience measurement that may be introduced later. It remains denied unless the visitor allows it where consent is required.
  • Advertising: ad measurement and personalization that may be introduced later. It remains denied unless the visitor allows it where consent is required.

Google services and affiliate tracking

Google Tag Manager is currently disabled because no production container ID is configured. Google Analytics, Google advertising cookies, and active affiliate tracking links are not currently enabled. Their cookie names, purposes, providers, and durations must be added here before activation.

Google Consent Mode defaults analytics and advertising signals to denied. A consent choice alone does not activate a service that has not otherwise been configured.

Choose or change your settings

You can accept all optional categories, reject them, or choose analytics and advertising separately. Withdrawing consent should be as easy as granting it.

You can also clear local storage and cookies through your browser. Clearing gt-consent-v1 will cause GameTreff to ask for a new choice on the next page load.

Before advertising launches

The current custom controls are a technical consent foundation, not a claim of certification. Before Google advertising is activated for regions where its requirements apply, GameTreff must implement an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform, complete the production vendor list, test that tags respect the selected categories, and update this policy.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be revised when browser storage, providers, purposes, or retention periods change materially. A new choice may be requested after an important policy or technology change.
