Corrections Policy

Games change. Sometimes we get something wrong. When the facts move—or we miss them—we fix the page.

How to report an error

Send a correction request to contact@gametreff.com or use our Contact page. To help us evaluate the issue, include:

• The URL and title of the article.
• The exact statement or section you believe is incorrect.
• A short explanation of the problem.
• A reliable supporting source, preferably official documentation or a primary source.
• The date you observed the issue, especially for live-service games.

Do not send account passwords, payment details, government identification, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

How reports are evaluated

We compare the disputed claim with the strongest available evidence and consider the article's original publication context. For frequently changing games, an article may have been accurate when published but require an update after a patch, balance change, platform change, or service announcement.

Disagreeing with a score is not the same as finding an error. But if that score rests on a wrong fact, we want to know.

Types of changes

• Minor edit: spelling, grammar, formatting, or wording that does not change the meaning. These edits may be made without a public note.
• Content update: new information, changed game systems, revised instructions, or added context. The article's updated date should change.
• Material correction: an error that could meaningfully mislead a reader. The article should be corrected and include a visible correction note explaining the important change.
• Retraction or removal: content that cannot be corrected responsibly, creates a serious legal or safety problem, or substantially fails our standards may be withdrawn. Removal is not used simply to conceal an ordinary mistake.

Corrections and transparency

A material correction note should identify what was wrong, what was changed, and when the correction was made. It should not silently rewrite the history of a significant error. When appropriate, GameTreff may preserve the page and explain its outdated status instead of deleting it.

Live-service and time-sensitive information

Patch notes, events, availability, system requirements, prices, rewards, and affiliate offers may change quickly. Publication and update dates help readers assess recency, but readers should confirm time-sensitive details through the linked official source before making a purchase or account decision.

Review scores and editorial judgments

A score may be revisited only when the article is materially re-evaluated, such as after substantial new testing or major changes to the game. Scores are not changed in response to advertiser, publisher, affiliate-partner, or audience pressure.

Response expectations

A clear report with a solid source is easier to check quickly. Sending one does not guarantee a change, but when the report is right, fixing the page matters more than defending our first draft.
